In this modern era and with increasingly rapid technological developments, higher education has become a crucial need for the younger generation to compete in the future. Based on this, the Cendikia Widya Yahya Education and Tutoring Foundation (YLP-B.Be.C Widya Yahya) plays a role in the world of education through the establishment of STIE Krakatau.

STIE Krakatau was officially established based on Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 588/E/O/2014 dated October 17, 2014, with two study programs: a Bachelor's degree in Management and a Bachelor's degree in Development Economics.

To improve the quality of education, the STIE Krakatau Management Study Program received a "C" accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) in 2018.

In 2019, management of STIE Krakatau was transferred to YLP B.Be.C Widya Yahya. Furthermore, the Bachelor's degree in Development Economics was officially closed in 2020 due to lack of interest from prospective students.

Subsequently, STIE Krakatau moved its location from Bandar Lampung City to Pringsewu Regency based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021.

In 2023, STIE Krakatau received a "Good" accreditation rating from BAN-PT. In the same year, STIE Krakatau also launched a Digital Business Undergraduate Study Program as a form of educational development to meet the needs of the digital era.

To date, STIE Krakatau continues to strive to improve the quality of education, maintain academic honesty and openness, and collaborate with the community and various parties through seminars, workshops, discussions, and other activities to enhance the quality of its graduates.
